A two-weekend course to explore the 5 elements: earth, water, fire, air and space. These elements make up ourselves and our world. Knowing about the elements can help us better understand ourselves; our relationships with others and the environment around us. By bringing awareness to the qualities and interactions of them within our daily life we are better able to restore the balance of this constantly evolving dynamic. In this way experiences of harmony and wellbeing can be brought into our lives.

Dr Akong Rinpoche created contemplation exercises for each of these elements as part of the Tara Rokpa method. We will introduce the practice of these contemplations during the 2 weekends alongside using relaxations and art materials. It is recommended that participants attend both weekends and ideally practice the contemplation exercises between the 2 workshops and for a period of time afterwards to get the most benefit.

During the 2 weekends we will work our way through the elements starting with earth, the most gross, on the first weekend. We will progress to water, to fire, to air and finishing with space, the most subtle on the second weekend. Using the contemplations, the relaxations and art materials we will experience and explore the elements within us and around us.

Elements 1: 8-10th March 2019 with Beate Jantzer and Sarah Wass, for more information about part two please click here.

Elements 2: 5-7th July 2019 with Claudia Duske and Sarah Wass

Working with the Elements is a stand alone course, it is thus suitable for all those who are interested in exploring the elements using Tara Rokpa methods.

Alongside the Tara Rokpa relaxations it also forms the initial phase of Back to Beginnings. There will be opportunities during the 2 weekends to find out more about this and how to continue the Tara Rokpa process for those who are interested.
