This longer course offers the opportunity for participants to deepen their yoga practice and fully immerse themselves in a yogic way of life.

The course is structured to allow space for periods of reflection and contemplation. Participants will be encouraged to attend each of the sessions offered including Karma Yoga which is an integral part of the course.

Daily Practices will include;

Karma Yoga - meditation in action – carrying out voluntary work such as household chores, work in the kitchen or garden and grounds.

Asanas- physical postures to release tension, improve flexibility and increase strength.

Pranayamas –breathing techniques which can induce relaxation and increase vitality.

Meditation techniques – such as  kaya sthairyam (body stillness), antar mouna (inner silence) and ajapa japa (repetition of mantra).

Yoga Nidra - deep relaxation often referred to as ‘conscious sleep’.

The course begins on Monday evening at 7.00 pm and concludes at lunchtime on Friday.

The course is open to those with some previous experience of yoga. Applicants are welcome to attend one of my weekend courses at Samye Ling prior to this course to get a feel for the style and content of teaching, and the venue.

Please bring a mat, a blanket, and any others items you need such as cushions or blocks.
