Ngondro Retreat - the opportunity of a lifetime!

15 Sep 2014

On 3rd November, 2015 – the auspicious Wheel Day of Lhabap Duchen – a very fortunate group will begin a one year intensive Ngondro Retreat.

Men will be in the Samye Dechen Shing Retreat on Arran and women in the Inner Light Retreat on Holy Isle. The Retreat Master will be Drupon Rinpoche, Khenpo Lhabu, who has been guiding our long retreats for some years as well as teaching a 6-year Shedra Studies Course in Samye Ling.

There are up to 16 retreat places available for women and 20 places for men.

This preliminary year will give all retreatants the chance to complete the Ngondro practices, supported by Drupon Rinpoche’s teachings and focussing strongly on the Four Ways of Changing the Mind. Also for those who find that the retreat regime benefits them and who wish to continue, there will be a further opportunity – after a break of one or two months, a traditional three year retreat will begin.

Anyone interested in joining the initial one year retreat should apply by sending an email to lhamo@samyeling.org. Please include information about who your teacher is, how long you have been practicing and any retreats you have done.
