Phase Two

In 2001 the first part of the extension to the temple was completed. The downstairs level houses the new dining room, kitchen and a workshop space for therapy courses, while the upstairs level is the monk's quarters, Abbot's office and interview room.

We are now in the process of fundraising to complete the project. The final section will house a college, library, several shrine rooms and a theatre hall.

As part of Phase Two, the new dining room is spacious and colourful and has provided much needed extra seating for residents and guests. On the wall inside are a series of tangkas or religious paintings depicting the different stages of the Buddha's life.
