We are delighted to announce that we have invited Khenpo Damcho Dawa to teach again in Samye Ling next May.
Khenpo Damcho Dawa is currently the lead Khenpo (equivalent to a professor of Buddhist studies) in charge of the Tulku College in Yushu, Tibet. As well as being a highly respected and sought after Khenpo he is also renowned for his humanitarian work, including the establishment of a school for orphans and poor children in his home town, where access to basic education is limited.
This will be Khenpo Damcho Dawa's second visit to Samye Ling. His enthusiastic and inspiring teachings on Powa and Karma Chagme Rinpoche's 'Mountain Dharma' were greatly received by many people, all of whom were eager for him to return again. You can read an excerpt from the "Mountain Dharma" teachings, taught by Khenpo Damcho Dawa in Samye Ling,

Khenpo Damcho Dawa will return to teach three separate courses and retreats. From the 11th to the 18th of May, Khenpo will teach on selected verses from the fifth chapter of Shantideva's text
'The Way of the Bodhisattva', all about Forbearance. He will follow on from those teachings with a seven day
Amitabha Practice Retreat and from there a seven day
Powa Practice Retreat, open to those who attended his three day teaching on Powa in May 2011.
We hope many of you will be able to join us for these wonderful teachings.
