Samye Ling Woodlands Project

They say 'the best time to plant a tree is thirty years ago - and the second-best time is now'.

If you would like to make a lasting difference to the environment and to Samye Ling, there are still spaces on our spring tree-planting weekends (more details can be found  here.) Our aim is to plant another thousand trees - as well as attend to the thousand we planted last year. Please contact Clare at woodlands@samyeling.org if you would like to join in for the weekend, or even just a day - all help will be greatly appreciated. Our hope is that in the future we will have some beautiful broadleaf woodlands to walk through and relax in, while also providing a home to local wildlife.

If you cannot join in with the planting you can still help us - we still need sponsorship to help us pay for protecting the trees against rabbits and deer. For more information see our webpage
