Dr Mingji Cuomo
Dr Mingji Cuomu (PhD Tibetan Study and sub-specialized in Medical Anthropology, Humboldt University, Berlin; MSc Tibetan Medicine, Lhasa Tibetan Medical College; MA Public Health, Sheffield Hallam University, UK) is a Tibetan medical doctor with over twenty years of practice in both Tibet and Overseas. She is also a senior lecturer at the Lhasa Tibetan medical College and associated member and academic visitor in the University of Oxford. She completed her PhD dissertation on Tibetan medicine and public health in TAR in 2010 at Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany. She has authored a textbook on gynaecology for BA students (in Titan, Sichuan National Publishing Company, 2003). In addition to more than 10 articles published in international and national academic journals. She has written a monograph entitled Treatment Experience on Obstetrical Disease (Mo nad phal pail rigs gso bcos byas pa’i nyams yig), is the co-editor of Studies of Medical Pluralism in Tibetan History and Society: Proceedings of the 11th Seminar of the International Association for Tibetan Studies.
