Long Term Retreats

We have a purpose-built long-term retreat for men on Arran and for women on Holy Isle. The next long retreat is due to begin in November 2015. This will be an intensive one-year retreat for completing the Ngondro or Preliminary Practices.

When the year has been completed, those who wish to continue practicing may join the traditional three-year retreat which will begin after a break of one or two months. This retreat is intended to introduce experienced practitioners to the most profound spiritual practices within the Vajrayana tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

Undertaking such a long retreat is a serious commitment which should not be taken lightly. The final decision to enter a long retreat should be made after careful consideration and must be approved by the Retreat Master, Drupon Rinpoche Khenpo Lhabu and his assistant, Kating Lama.

The cost for both the one-year and the three-year retreats will be £15 per day.

Anybody who is interested in participating in these retreats should send an email to Kating Lama.
