Guru Rinpoche Drupcho

This course has been cancelled

8:30am 22 August 2020 - 12:30pm 26 August 2020

Cost: £0.00

Venue: Samye Ling

Guru Rinpoche made many prophecies concerning our present time, and his teachings and sadhana are of particular relevance in overcoming all the negative and harmful influences that confront us in today’s world.

Samye Ling has made the commitment to perform the Guru Rinpoche Drupcho each year to help dispel sickness, famine, war and environmental disasters. The prayers will be particularly dedicated to the swift rebirth of Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche.  Rinpoche established Samye Ling, bringing benefit to countless thousands of people over the years. We pray that this will develop and increase more and more for many generations to come.

We hope that as many people as possible will be able to participate.  Whether you already have a connection with Samye Ling or whether you are visiting for the first time, please do come to join us in these meaningful and powerful prayers.

The Guru Rinpoche sadhana is available in English phonetics, so anyone who has taken Refuge and received the authorisation (lung) can participate fully.  Even if you can’t read the text, please come and meditate or recite mantras.

Following the Drupcho, the annual tea party and open day will be on Sunday 30th August.
