There are said to be two main reasons for practising meditation: to appreciate the richness and value of life and to have no regrets when we die. The wonder and colour of everyday experience can be opened up to us by increasing our awareness through meditation. How we go about this, on this weekend, will be through breathing meditations and also visualizations. Through these exercises we can renew our perception of the world we live in, finding fulfilment and restoring our sense of balance that is too easily lost in this busy, fast-changing world. Above all, we will try to experience meditation in the environment of Samye Ling and then go on to take that experience home with us for our own benefit and those of all around us.
There is no fee for this course although donations are welcome and may be made in the Reception Office.
