This introductory workshop explores 2 important aspects of communication and authentic understanding between people - projection and co-ordination. Projection is how we interpret the world around us through our personal beliefs, positively or negatively, we colour our world with our own views. Co-ordination is accepting communication from others without imposing our personal value judgements, fears, motivations, ambitions, anxiety or enthusiasm onto what is being communicated.  As far as is possible we need to learn to hear and understand others as they are, rather than through our personal view. Co-ordination comes about when we understand and accept ourselves more enabling us to genuinely and respectfully acknowledge and work with others.

Learning about projection and co-ordination allows us to understand how to work more collaboratively with colleagues and improve family and personal relationships.  As we understand ourselves and others more clearly, our compassion for all has a chance to grow.

Tara Rokpa Therapy was originally conceived by Dr Akong Tulku Rinpoche, based on his background and education as a Buddhist Lama and traditional Tibetan doctor.  It is a therapy which encourages us to learn about ourselves through structured remembering and writing, artwork, group and individual exercises, simple clothed massage and relaxations/visualisations.  This weekend will focus on using the gentle and supportive methods of Tara Rokpa therapy to help us develop our understanding of ourselves, especially with others.  The workshop is open to all, there are no pre-requirements for attendance.
