The 3 Healing Lights: White, Red and Blue

7:00pm 19 May 2023 - 3:00pm 21 May 2023

Cost: £63.00

Venue: Samye Ling

With Sarah Wass and Nicola Maule

The 3 healing light visualisations were offered to us by Dr Akong Rinpoche as part of his creation of Tara Rokpa. Tara Rokpa is a series of relaxations, meditations and self development exercises that are simple yet profound and can be practiced in every day life.

The white, red and blue light visualisations use the healing qualities and powers of the elements that make up our bodies, our world and our universe. The visualisations use the elements in their pure form and in their most essential form, that of light. The pure white light is especially suited to heal our physical body; the pure red light relates especially to the healing of emotional pain and blocks of expression and creativity; whereas the pure blue light especially helps to heal our fears, anxieties and lack of confidence.

During the weekend we will introduce the Tara Rokpa methods of movement and self massage and also the use art of materials to support the practice of these visualisations. Our aim will be to enable participants to be able to practice the exercises at home with more enduring difficulties and when new difficulties arise.  The workshop will approach the visualisations as relaxations, however, participants are welcome to practice them as meditations if they wish.

The weekend will be lead by Sarah Wass and assisted by Nicola Maule. Sarah is a Tara Rokpa therapist and Nicola is a Tara Rokpa Healing Relaxation facilitator. Both are long standing Tara Rokpa practitioners and were fortunate to receive guidance from Akong Rinpoche during his lifetime.
