Final Opportunity for Founding Members

17 Jul 2014

If you have visited Samye Ling recently then you will have noticed the temporary Founding Members list outside the dining room displaying the names of over 200 friends of Samye Ling who have already contributed to the completion of the Samye Project by becoming a Founding Member.

The commemorative board that will be on permanent display in the entrance hall is now being commissioned. It is a beautiful carved wooden frame surrounding an engraved brass plaque to celebrate the generosity of all the friends of Samye Ling who helped bring the vision of the Samye College to fruition.

Once the engraving is done, it will not be possible to add to the list of names on the board and it will be installed and unveiled in October 2014.

So for anyone who has been thinking of adding a sponsorship in their own name or perhaps to honour their teachers, friends, family or organisation, you can still do it .... but you need to act NOW!

To join the Founding Members of Samye College please send your donation of £1,000 to reach us before the end of August and we will send you a personally signed, sealed Certificate of Membership and our name can be added to the display that will commemorate this historic achievement of completing the Samye Project.

Please make cheques payable to Rokpa Trust, and send with a short letter giving your name and address and the name you would like to appear on the permanent display.

To make a Founder's donation online by credit card, please

  • send an email to accounts@samyeling.org telling us the name you would like to appear on the permanent display, and
  • click here to go to our online donations page - please be sure to complete the name and address information on the donation form.
