Re-opening of Samye Ling Main Temple - 15 November 2021

13 Nov 2021

Dear Dharma brothers and sisters,

We have been waiting to open for quite some time and although the threat of COVID-19 has not yet disappeared, we are pleased to announce that we are re-opening the Samye Ling Main Temple (and the toilet facilities near the cafe).

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation to determine when it is safe for us to fully open, but for the time being the guest-houses, dining room and other areas will remain closed.

Protecting our visitors and residents is a top priority for us and we sincerely hope that no-one contracts the COVID-19 virus while visiting Samye Ling.  To help keep everyone safe, we would ask that you please wear a face covering and gloves at all times during your visit; and that you keep a safe distance from other people.

We hope and pray that the COVID-19 situation improves so that we can fully re-open and properly welcome you back to Samye Ling.

Meantime, we send you our very best wishes and hope that you stay well and safe.

On behalf of the trustees,
Abbot Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche and Deputy Abbot Lama Katen
