The introductory programme emphasises the need to practice centring to build capacity to engage skilfully with more intensely challenging events: repetition builds resilience.
This ‘refresh and refine’ weekend is an opportunity to revisit the fundamentals of the Leadership Embodiment practices, refreshing the principles and refining awareness of reactive patterns. We’ll have time to practise centring with a variety of partners and support each other to change the way we relate to pressure and adversity.
There will be an opportunity to influence the content of the weekend – on the first evening we’ll decide together which activities to focus on. We’ll review those that seem most relevant. While the weekend is intended to provide space, time and practice partners to hone the basics, we may also find time to work with new activities.
The intention of this ‘refresh and refine’ is to enable you to:
- gain greater precision in your awareness of your habits and patterns when you’re under pressure; and
- grow your confidence in recovering centre whilst under pressure.
What to expect and what to bring…
As ever, we’ll be moving around and will be making gentle physical contact with each other on hands, arms and back. You should wear comfortable clothes and flat, comfortable indoor shoes or bare feet.
Our work will be mainly experiential, with brief opportunities to share learning after each activity. The workshop will begin at 7pm on Friday 10 February 2017 and end at 4pm on Sunday 12 February 2017.
If you have any questions about your eligibility for the course, please email Amanda at info@originate.org.uk
