This retreat aims to help us to think more deeply into what it means to be a real Dharma practitioner. We will learn about and reflect on subjects like:
What it means to take refuge sincerely and completely;
Are we clear about our motivation for practice?
Do we understand the importance of relying on a properly qualified teacher?
What is the basic view that we need to turn our worldly thinking into Dharma-thinking?
Whether you are a beginner or a long-term practitioner, it is always helpful to take time to reflect on what you are actually doing and to find a deeper understanding.
The daily schedule will include teaching, reflection and meditation sessions.
There is no fee for this course although donations are welcome. Your offering will help with the Monastery's considerable running costs, as well as the expenses incurred in inviting teachers. Donations may be made in the Reception Office.
