Everyone who wishes to participate in this retreat must register even if Samye Ling accommodation is not required.  Please use the online booking system to book both accommodation and a place on the course.  If you are not staying with us, select “No Accommodation” as the room type.

Drupon Rinpoche will continue teaching from Nagarjuna's Letter to a Friend so please can anyone who attended last year's retreat bring the text they received then.  Those who do not already have the text, please order a copy asap from the Samye Ling Print Room trinley@samyeling.org

Prayers for teachings (used during all teaching sessions) &
Guru Yoga Prayers or complete Ngondro text, and short Vajrayogini visualisation insert (for practice sessions of the Retreat)

As in previous years, this retreat will follow a full retreat schedule which will include both teachings and meditation practice. Drupon Rinpoche will attend all practice sessions and there will also be two teaching sessions each day.

Drupon Rinpoche has kindly agreed to offer this short period of combined meditation retreat and instruction at the time of Akong Rinpoche’s anniversary.  The meditation practice will be focused on Guru Yoga and all students of Akong Rinpoche who wish to mark his anniversary are encouraged to come to practice together during this retreat.

Those registered are expected attend all of the sessions, except in case of emergency when Drupon Rinpoche must be informed beforehand.

** Everyone who participates in the Retreat must register.  You can decide to:

  • Attend all teaching and practice sessions
  • Attend all teaching sessions (but not practice sessions)
  • Attend all practice sessions (but not teaching sessions)

In each case you must attend all of the sessions for which you have registered.

  • The retreat finishes at 12.30 on 15th October.
  • It is essential to register before joining the retreat – even if you are a resident of Samye Ling or if you are not staying in Samye Ling. 
  • Those who are not registered and who wish to make a connection with the teachings may attend one single meditation session and one single teaching session.  

 

There is no course fee, though donations towards the considerable overheads are most welcome.  Donations may be made in the Reception Office.
