Now that Samye Ling is fully open, we're delighted to let you know about some of our forthcoming events.  First and foremost is the 9th anniversary of the passing of our Founder, Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche.  You can see full information  here.

Anniversary events in Samye Ling

On the 8th you can pay your respects to Rinpoche in the temple and also take part in the first two sessions of the Meditation Retreat which begins that afternoon - as well as sharing a delicious vegetarian lunch in the Samye Ling dining room (no charge for this but please let us know you are coming by email to reception@samyeling.org).  And for those of you with enough time, we hope you can stay with us for the whole five days of the Retreat.

Other things you can do

If you would like to honour Akong Rinpoche on 8th October but can't come to Samye Ling, it's still possible to do something positive in his name. For example, you can take commitments, practice generosity, plant trees or another activity to protect and nurture the environment, or even just use his photo as your social media ID for a while.  We can all find a meaningful way to remember his inspiring example.
