“Refrain from all harm, bring benefit to others and tame our own mind.”

This is the teaching of Shakyamuni Buddha.

This weekend course will focus on Taming the Tiger, a book written by Akong Rinpoche, a culturally attuned set of teachings and meditations to help us understand & tame our minds.

The weekend is suitable for newcomers and for those who have previously participated in a Taming The Tiger weekend and wish to continue deepen their study and practice. It is also a taster for those who might be interested in starting Back to Beginnings see www.tararokpa.org

The weekend is presented by Brion Sweeney. Brion trained with Akong Rinpoche for over thirty years in presenting Tara Rokpa Therapy. Brion worked as a consultant psychiatrist since 1988 and psychotherapist since 1986, his chosen specialty the Psychiatry of Addiction, until his retirement in 2012.
